Review by Aswidha Fazani

The Best Of The Creation, the self-titled album by the British rock band Creation, is a compilation of their most popular songs from the 1960s. The album features 18 tracks, including hits such as "Painter Man" and "Making Time."

The album showcases the band's unique sound, which blended elements of psychedelic rock, garage rock, and pop. The tracks are characterized by catchy guitar riffs, driving rhythms, and the distinctive vocals of lead singer Kenny Pickett.

The album also includes some lesser-known tracks, such as "If I Stay Too Long" and "Biff Bang Pow," which demonstrate the band's versatility and range. These songs showcase the band's ability to create both upbeat, danceable tracks and more introspective, contemplative pieces.

they didn't have the jones-marriott pairing of small faces, so you immediately feel that they are vocally and instrumentally less gifted than the quintessential mod band, but creation have a number of good singles, partygoers and uptempo that easily stay in the lead. biff bang pow is one of them, as well as cool jerk and try and stop me; while there are more psychedelic songs like making time, through my eyes and painter man (with the guitar played with the violin bow, ahead of its time but objectively ugly to hear).

How does it feel when the day is over?
How does it feel when the dark comes down?
How does it feel when your room is black as sin?
How does it feel when you're scared by the dark?
How does it feel to feel?
How does it feel to feel?

How does it feel when a shadow moves you?
How does it feel rustled by your bed?
How does it feel when it finally holds you?
How does it feel when you're thinking you're dead?
How does it feel to feel?
How does it feel to feel?

(guitar solo)

How does it feel when you wake in the morning?
How does it feel feeling sun in the shade?
How does it feel when you slide down a sunbeam?
How does it feel bursting clouds on your way?
How does it feel now that the night is over?
How does it feel never to sleep again?
How does it feel to feel?
How does it feel to feel?

The music section above mentions 'UK Version'.  This version sounds totally different then the version I'm used to, has it been re-mastered or are the US and UK versions that different?

You know great sound! I was listening to this band (along with The Small Faces and The Pretty Things) when they debuted in the UK (thanks to my cousin who lived in London back then). Little Steven should be given a LOT of credit for bringing bands like Creation back on the radio (where they truly belong). Best -- Mickey
